New app offers advanced personalisation and workout builder

Wattbike has launched Hub+, a premium subscription version of its app that promotes greater personalisation for a more customised workout experience, integration with thirdparty apps and new training content from athletes, sports scientists and research.

“Recognising the shift from consoles to apps, we have been investing heavily into our digital product development. Our new mobile app and bike console work in parallel, however the app enhances the experience giving users access to more data, in real-time, as well as access to more content,” explains Tom Crampton, head of commercial at Wattbike. “This new app is focused on great personalisation to improve the user experience. It allows the workout to be tailored to you, your profile, your data and your goals, whatever Wattbike you connect to.” Hub+ incorporates the Workout Builder feature, a user-friendly tool with a drag-and drop option in which users, coaches or personal trainers can configure their own workouts in seconds by selecting from a range of segment blocks in-app. Users can share their custom workouts with other Hub+ users via their preferred channel (such as WhatsApp, email, SMS, Airdrop) for increased connectivity between users, coaches, personal trainers or members. A workout export feature allows users to complete their custom workouts via other third-party apps or a bike computer outdoors.

“The connectivity between apps and data brings everything together for the user in one place, allowing them to be more knowledgeable and in control of their fitness journey,” says Crampton. From a commercial perspective, Hub+ subscriptions can be packaged for operators, independent gyms, studios, coaches and personal trainers to provide members with bespoke club workouts, extra training content, challenges and individualised member sessions, helping clubs to personalise content to meet differing goals and abilities. The Wattbike Hub+ app is compatible with iOS and Android devices.
