Five Birmingham gyms get £1 million upgrade

Chepstow Leisure Centre adds outdoor gym

Birmingham Community Leisure Trust (BCLT), which operates nine facilities across the city, has announced that five of its leisure centres will be receiving major gym upgrades during October and November, with over £1 million of new equipment on its way to Wyndley Leisure Centre, Fox Hollies Leisure Centre, Cocks Moors Woods Leisure Centre, Erdington Leisure Centre and Northfield Leisure Centre.

Parkinson’s UK is offering up to £3,000 in grant funding for any communities with a connection to the condition in the UK. The funding is available through the charity's popular Physical Activity Grants programme which is helping more people living with Parkinson’s to get active in 2024.

Chepstow Leisure Centre has enhanced its community-focused services with the launch of a new outdoor gym.

Initially piloted as a group exercise cover solution to minimise class cancellations, boost staff engagement and enhance the member experience, the CoverMe app has now been rolled out across the Virgin Active UK estate and is being implemented in various areas of team management.
