Leisure operator Fusion enters administration after financial struggles

UK fitness sector hits record 12.2 million members

Aston University has announced a partnership with The Padel Loft to open a new padel facility at its city centre campus.

Fusion Lifestyle, the major UK leisure charity operating more than 100 gyms, swimming pools and sports centres, has entered administration following a prolonged period of financial difficulty.

The newly published The UK Health & Fitness Market Report 2026 reveals that penetration has reached an impressive 18% of the over-16 population, with a record 12.2 million members.

Jenny Patrickson to step down from Active IQ
