New leisure centre spearheads regeneration plan

A multi-million pound leisure centre has opened in New Addington, the latest milestone in the regeneration of this area of South London.

The New Addington Leisure & Community Centre is delivered by Willmott Dixon and operated by GLL.

Facilities include:

  • A 25m, six lane swimming pool and a learning pool, an extensive fitness suite, sport halls and multi-purpose activity studios and a café.

  • Flexible spaces for community enjoyment, including two halls with capacity for around 300 people, with a kitchen, bar and storage rooms.

A key part of the council’s extensive regeneration plans for New Addington

Planning permission has been granted for a new community centre in Fieldway, combining the existing Fieldway Family Centre and the Timebridge Community Centre. A new free school for children with special educational needs is also planned to open on the Timebridge site in 2021.
