Leisure-net has announced a virtual setting for its annual active-net, which will take place on 24 and 25 March 2021 and mirror the face-to-face experience, even including an evening networking meal.
Partnering with virtual conference specialist, First Event, the online event will enable both buyers and suppliers to request up to 16 meetings with the most appropriate delegates, and allow the demonstration of products and services in each supplier’s own online room.
The education element will follow active-net’s usual path, with a keynote panel session ‘Unsung heroe’, celebrating stories from teams that worked through Covid delivering to their community, and group breakouts with speakers from CIMSPA, ukactive and Sport England sharing their thoughts on the future of the sector, all based around the 2021 theme ‘A Post Pandemic Sector’.
A host of other added features and benefits include a treat box with food, tea and coffee to offer sustenance throughout the day, the provision of an evening meal with wine or beer and the opportunity to join a hosted dinner table for evening networking, as well as other sponsored gifts, which will arrive at delegates front doors before the event.
“We will deliver the event using our tried and tested principles, which include an education stream, networking opportunities, targeted business meetings and even online exercise classes. An added bonus is our virtual event will result in a massive reduction of our CO2 emissions,” says Dave Monkhouse, director of Leisure-net, which organises the two-day event.
active-net Scotland is due to take place face-to-face on 8 and 9 September. For more information on both events visit active-net.org. To register for March 21 https://staging.active-net-event.org/
