All ‘dry side’ facilities including the dance and spin studio, and a 75-station fitness suite will be complete and handed over to Everyone Active, which runs the leisure centres in the borough, on 1 July 2023 with ‘wet facilities’ such as the six-lane swimming pool, opening to the public later this summer.

"We continue to be impressed by the new facilities at Rainham Leisure Centre and seeing the project delivered on time is such fantastic work by all the contractors involved,” said councillor Ray Morgon, leader of Havering Council.

“I’m really looking forward to seeing the centre being enjoyed as a place to stay healthy through exercise, and also somewhere for people of all ages to meet and socialise. This will be a wonderful asset not only for the community in Rainham, but for the whole borough.”
