HeartSpace Yoga opens

Mayor of Richmond celebrates HeartSpace Yoga studio opening in Twickenham

HeartSpace Yoga, a new studio in Twickenham, officially opened its doors with a free launch weekend on the 11th and 12th of January. The celebrations featured a special opening ceremony attended by acclaimed international yoga teachers and other distinguished guests, including the Mayor of Richmond, Councillor Richard Pyne and the Mayoress, Helen Pyne.

The new yoga wellbeing studio, located on London Road, officially opened following a contemporary refurbishment. The studio is the realisation of a lifelong dream for its founder, Lindsay Ratcliffe, a passionate wellness advocate.

HeartSpace Yoga studio features two practice spaces; a larger studio accommodating up to 35 mats and a more intimate space for up to ten mats, as well as space for treatments and holistic offerings. HeartSpace Yoga is also available for corporate wellness and wellbeing workshops.

During its opening weekend, HeartSpace Yoga offered twenty free taster sessions, with over 300 people attending a series of classes focused on Hatha yoga, Iyengar yoga, Vinyasa yoga, Pilates and beginners’ yoga. The weekend also featured a unique spiritual launch ceremony led by Reiki master teacher and bodyworker, Salma Othman and a bespoke yoga session lead by internationally renowned teacher Dav Jones.

Lindsay Ratcliffe, founder of HeartSpace Yoga said: 'This launch weekend has been a long time coming, it has always been my dream to open my own yoga studio. Over the years, yoga has been a constant companion and a much-needed release from the busy life I lead as a Managing director of a tech firm. Yoga gave me the space to breathe, recharge, and find my happy place. That is what inspired me to create HeartSpace Yoga, to offer a space where the limitless health and wellness benefits of yoga meet the opportunity for personal reflection and spiritual connection.

'HeartSpace Yoga isn’t about being the best at a pose or the most flexible; it’s about discovering your own special place and becoming part of a community of like-minded individuals.

Amanda Brough, HeartSpace Yoga studio manager, said: 'We are excited to be collaborating with many talented local yoga teachers to deliver a comprehensive programme and timetable. From sunrise to sunset, there is a perfect class for everyone.

'HeartSpace Yoga aims to make an impact that goes beyond our studio walls, contributing to the wellbeing of both our local and global communities through charitable initiatives, outreach programmes, and partnerships with like-minded organisations.'
