Leisure design and build specialist Createability worked with InspireAll, who manage the sites on behalf of Hertsmere Borough Council, to ensure the centres remained open during the nine-month project.

Furzefield

Furzefield now benefits from a soft play and XHeight Adventure Climbing destination, an immersive cycling studio and new gym changing areas. The gym has been redeveloped and upgrades have been made to the reception and main foyer.

It also features a new destination day spa, with reception area, treatment rooms, a relaxation area, experience rooms and dedicated spa changing area.

Bushey Grove

The Bushey Grove project included adding a mezzanine floor to increase the size of the gym, upgrading the main reception, extending the café and introducing a new creche, toilets and staff room. The centre also now has an immersive indoor cycling studio.

The health suite has also been remodelled to create a day-spa. Facilities include a reception area, four treatment rooms, a new relaxation area, herbal sauna and aroma steam rooms.
