Anytime Fitness plans flurry of new openings

Anytime Fitness is set to open 10 new health clubs before the end of 2021.

Independently owned by franchisees, the new clubs will take the Anytime Fitness network to more than 185 sites across the UK and Ireland.

The openings follow a buoyant recovery from Anytime Fitness UK after the reopening of indoor leisure facilities in April, with close to a third of its clubs now exceeding their revenue numbers pre-March 2020. It has also experienced record interest in owning a health club, with new franchisee enquiries up by more than 300 per cent this year.

“It’s exciting to be able to look forward with so much positivity and see more ambitious entrepreneurs owning their own businesses,” said Ben Dixon, chief development officer at Anytime Fitness UK.

“Demand for health club memberships has been consistent throughout the year and we’re delighted to soon be positively impacting the health and wellbeing of even more local communities across the UK. These new clubs are being opened by a combination of brand-new franchisees and existing club owners in our network adding to their portfolio and scaling their investment with us.”

Anytime Fitness clubs are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
