Alliance Leisure Hosts Showcasing the Magic Event

On the 15th of May, Alliance Leisure welcomed invited guests to the Everyman Cinema in Harrogate for their inaugural ‘Showcasing the Magic’ event, focusing on their recently completed work with North Yorkshire Council.

Guests were taken on guided tours of the newly completed facilities; Harrogate Leisure and Wellness Centre, a complete refurbishment of the well-loved former Harrogate Hydro, and Knaresborough Leisure and Wellness Centre, a state-of-the-art new-build facility, where they were able to see the immensely successful centres in action and take in their innovative characteristics for themselves.

At the Everyman Cinema, Alliance Leisure graced the silver screen in a series of videos to accompany a medley of guest speakers, featuring Huw Edwards, CEO of ukactive, Jo Ireland, Assistant Director for Culture, Leisure, Archives and Libraries at North Yorkshire Council, Mark Tweedie, Managing Director at Brimhams Active, and Alliance Leisure’s Commercial Director, James Foley, and Strategic Engagement Director, Paul Woodford. The audience was taken through visions for the future of the leisure sector on a micro and macro level, and key insights were shared from the development of North Yorkshire Council’s incredible new facilities.

The event was rounded off by a networking lunch, where engaging and insightful conversations abounded, and new relationships forged.

Alliance Leisure eagerly awaits the next Showcasing the Magic event. To download the event Playbook and to sign up to be the first to hear when we launch new events, please visit
