TG Escapes Timber Frame Sports & Leisure Buildings

TG Escapes offer a fully inclusive design and build service undertaking all principal designer and principal contractor duties. They have a dedicated team including in-house design and pre-contract resource committed to supporting consultants with tenders, grants and bids. This means that projects can be managed with a single point of contact making the process significantly easier than working with separate architect and construction teams. So much so that their customers score them 4.9 out of 5 based on 193 reviews. The sport and leisure turnkey solutions include planning permissions, site preparation by dedicated groundworks experts and full safety compliance.

A modern method of construction with no limitations

As a modern method of construction, sectional modular buildings using timber frame are far more versatile than many people think. Each net-zero building design is tailored to meet the specific needs of the customer and to make best use of the available space: there is no limit to how this construction method can be used. Aesthetically, there is a wide variety of finishes including timber or composite cladding, render in a range of colours and brick slips.

"I found TG Escapes to have a very proactive procurement and development team, that were happy to work collaboratively with us to deliver the best quality product achievable." Jake Walton, Design Manager, Sports Pavillion and Leisure Studio Customer

TG Escapes have delivered over 800 projects throughout the UK, all designed bespoke by their in-house architects and engineers. Their buildings include flat and pitched roofs, 2 storeys, large span studios and intimate breakout spaces. They are used for changing facilities, performing arts studios, sports halls, leisure kiosks, sports pavilions, clubhouses and cafés with commercial kitchens.

The sectional modular process saves time and money versus a traditional build. This means less time onsite, causing less disruption, particularly important on sites with continuing sports and activities.

“Quick build time under difficult circumstances. Very professional and went out of their way to help. Especially the groundwork team. A pleasure to have on site and would definitely recommend them." Martin Frankish, Facilities Manager, Sports Pavilion and Changing Facilities Customer

Long lasting and highly energy efficient structures

The buildings are permanent structures built using sustainable materials. The timber frames are highly insulated and perform exceptionally well versus a cavity wall construction. The designs are aesthetically pleasing, ergonomic and highly practical but, just as importantly, they are built to last 50 years or more with appropriate maintenance.

TG Escapes are a Construction Line Platinum member, a Structural Timber Association gold member, members of the PassiveHaus Trust, the MPBA, and the AECB. Their services can be accessed via the UK Leisure Framework and they are an approved contractor on the Pagabo Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for Small Works which is fully compliant with UK and EU procurement law for projects up to a value of £3m.

“As educators, apart from the need for extra teaching space for our students we needed the professionalism, experience and expertise of TG escapes to build our Dance and Drama studios. They were very helpful.” Jonathan Kamya, Deputy Head
